Equine Dental Certification Program

  

EQUINE GNATHOLOGICAL TRAINING INSTITUTE INC. EQUINE DENTAL CERTIFICATION PROGRAM, HORSE DENTAL CERTIFICATION PROGRAM


Fundamental Certification Participants; Levels 1-4

Issued in the following forms: 

Hand Floating, Power Floating, Sedated Horses, Non-Sedated Horses


1.  Birth to Five Years of Age

2.  Six to Eleven Years of Age

3.  Twelve to Eighteen Years of Age

4.  Nineteen Years of Age and Up


After certifying on one horse or more in categories 1 through 4, a minimum of two-years practical work on horses’ and completion of 240 hours of (theory & practical) training from a credible institution a practitioner may receive the level 5 Advanced Certification.  Subject to certification testing rules.


5 .  Level 5:   EGTI CERTFIED ADVANCED EQUINE GNATHOLOGICAL  PRACTITIONER


Advanced Certification Participants; Levels 6-9

Issued in the following forms: 

Hand Floating, Power Floating, Sedated Horses, Non-Sedated Horses 


6.  Birth to Five Years of Age

7.  Six to Eleven Years of Age

8.  Twelve to Eighteen Years of Age

9.  Nineteen Years of Age and Up


After certifying on one horse or more in categories 6 through 9, a minimum of five-years practical work on horses’ and completion of 400 hours of (theory & practical) training from a credible institution a practitioner may receive the level 10 Masters Certification. Subject to certification testing rules.


10.   Level 10:  EGTI CERTIFIED MASTER EQUINE GNATHOLOGICAL PRACTITIONER 



EGTI Abbreviated Fundamental Certification Testing Rules Leading to Advanced Certification

  

  • Pass Written or Oral Test
  • Pass aging test
  • Turn in 10 case histories in each age category
  • Turn in your work history (where, when, how long) minimum of 2 years practice required to sit for testing
  • Proof of 240 hours of theoretical and practical training
  • Complete satisfactory theoretical and practical work on at least one horse in each age group under EGTI Examiner supervision


 

EGTI Abbreviated Advanced Certification Testing Rules Leading to Master Certification 


  • Pass Written or Oral Test
  • Pass aging test
  • Turn in 20 case histories in each age category
  • Turn in your work history (where, when, how long) minimum of 5 years practice required to sit for testing
  • Proof of 400 hours of theoretical and practical training
  • Complete satisfactory theoretical and practical work on at least one horse in each age group under EGTI Examiner supervision



​EGTI honors most other schools and  IAED certified practitioners credits .
